United Way 2-1-1 Can Answer Non-Medical Questions

Brown County United Way can answer non-medical questions related to COVID-19 crisis. Examples of the types of calls it can handle:

  • Food delivery programs for home-bound seniors.
  • Transportation options, as some public transit services close down.
  • Nutrition programs for children who rely on free and reduced meals at school.
  • Information on emerging resources in the community.

Residents simply call 2-1-1 (or 1-800-924-5514) or text COVID19 to 211-211 to receive links to CDC information about the virus.

SCHOOL DISTRICT LUNCH PROGRAMS
CITY OF GREEN BAY

Beginning March 23, meals will be served Monday – Friday at the following times and locations below. This service is open to ALL CHILDREN (not just Green Bay students). Each child will get a bag that will include meals for breakfast and lunch.

The District will not be selling meals for adults like we do during the summer food program. Parents can pick up their meals without their children present.

This program is ONLY for meal pickup. Meals are not to be consumed on site. We encourage families to practice social distancing and not congregate at the meal pickup locations. Program locations and times are subject to change. Meals will be available while supplies last. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the logistics of this program.

DE PERE

The District will distribute a free lunch and a snack bag to all children age 18 years and under via drive through pickup beginning TUESDAY, MARCH 17 as a result of our school closing update.

When: 11:45 am – 12:30 pm Monday -Friday starting TUESDAY, MARCH 17

Where:- Dickinson Elementary School, 435 S. Washington St. De Pere. Curbside delivery will be available in front of the school’s main entrance.- Optimist Park, 801 Cook St., De Pere. Drive through service will be available in the parking lot.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, free meals will be available to:
– All students age 18 and under.
– Persons over 18 years of age, with a disability, who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year.

No forms or registration are required to receive free meals.

The child(ren) must be present in the vehicle or walk/bike up to receive free meals.

The limit is one breakfast bag and one lunch bag per child per day.

Those who pick up free food do not need to bring any forms or registration with them, but the student needs to be present in order to receive the free meal each day.

SEYMOUR COMMUNITY SCHOOL SYSTEM

Beginning Thursday, March 19th will be providing free meals to families. This week they will provide meals on Thursday and Friday. Beginning the week of March 23rd they will be providing meals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each day you will be able to pick up two breakfasts and two lunch meals per student.

The meals will be available at the following locations from 10am until noon.

We will then open the doors at 9 a.m. to 10 patrons at a time.

ADRC - AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER

The ADRC will be closing our doors to in-person office contact at the end of business today, Tuesday March 17th. Customers will continue to be served by phone and email. Home delivered meals will continue as usual.

• Homebound Meal (HBM) Delivery: We will continue HBM’s, working to increase our capacity. Volunteers reporting for duty will be screened using the CDC COVID-19 screening tool. We practice ServSafe® packaging guidelines including handwashing and glove use in all food service programs. Families will be offered a pickup option should they be concerned about home delivery. Current homebound meals customers have been receiving educational information in their meal bags.

• Grounded Café: Only on-line ordering with pick-up is available.

• Information and Assistant and Benefit Specialist Services. Access to community resources, long term care and public benefits are a priority of the ADRC. As we continue to provide these important services protections of our customers and staff are of utmost importance. We will be serving customers through phone calls and email.
